Hiroshima is the milestone that shows encounter between humankind and its actual possibility of self-destruction. This is an one hundred postcard installation, where each of the appropriate photograph that composed each postcard was commissioned to a team of experts created by the U.S. military in the aftermath of the Japanese defeat, at the end of World War II, in order to “measure” the extent of the devastation caused by the Atomic Bomb.

As a way to keep in mind the unforgettable, that unavoidable fact of the history of humanity, before the installation Un souvenir d’Hiroshima the viewer is invited to freely take a aesthetically appealing postcard as a souvenir; an archaeological image yet related to the present times, and related to the contemporary fear of self-annihilation.
